COACHING

The club offers an all year round coaching programme, through R-Advantage, a business set up by Ralf Nielsen to provide coaching and competitive play to players of all ages and all abilities.

Head Coach, Ralf Nielsen and his team of coaches are all LTA qualified and all commit to continually develop their coaching knowledge to ensure a quality and enjoyable programme is delivered.

JUNIORS

Group coaching sessions are available on a Saturday morning and a Thursday after school. These sessions are open to children of 5 years and upwards. The courses are set up either termly or half-termly in line with the state school holiday timetable. Course fees are payable in advance which encourages regular attendance and keeps administration work simple and easy. Players who show more promise are invited to attend additional practice sessions again at a regular time after school.

HOLIDAY ACTIVITIES

'Tennis Fun Days' and 'Multi Sport Days' are organised during the school holidays. These are open to both members and non-members of the club. Children aged 5-16 can attend the 'tennis fun days', whereas the 'multi sport days' are open to children of 8 years and upwards. Both these activities always prove very popular so it is advisable to book in advance to avoid disappointment. A daily cost is charged for these.

During October half-term a Junior Tournament is organised. Again both members and non-members can enter, and the events are run on a round-robin basis so all players participating get plenty of matches.

ADULTS

The coaching programme includes a number of courses open to both members and non-members. There are ladies sessions on both a Tuesday (improvers/rusties) and a Friday morning (beginners), 9.30-11am, and also a Mens/Ladies session (improvers) on a Wednesday evening, 6.30-8pm. These are set up in 6 week blocks with a course fee charged payable in advance.

PARENT/CHILD TOURNAMENTS

A parent/child tournament is organised in May and September. These are hugely, enjoyable events and really help to enhance the relationship between adult and junior players.
